Frozen 2 Party!

The long-awaited Frozen 2 Party!!!

My nieces have been talking about their last frozen party (view it here) for two years and as soon as I heard there was a sequel coming out I knew I had to plan another! I know people don’t usually throw parties for no reason without a birthday to celebrate BUT that’s what makes these so fun! Who doesn’t love an extra reason to celebrate and get dressed up! Winter’s in Northern Michigan are LOOONG and hard and things like this help to break it up and give us all something to look forward to! I told my sister that honestly the party itself isn’t that spectacular but it’s the anticipation and shared experience that makes it memorable. I can’t tell you how many times the nieces talked about “the Frozen party” in the past few years and you can see for yourself it wasn’t anything too special, just a few decorations and simple games. They got to share a unique experience together themed around something they were already obsessed with (name a little girl who isn’t) so how could we go wrong! Haha!

You better believe I took full advantage of the PURPLE color scheme of the second movie! I had so much fun making a balloon arch and finding splashes of purple to incorporate into the decor! It was a perfect accident that there are so many yummy and nutritious snacks that happen to be orange to match the magical forest’s leaves!

Jase (L) was sad that it was a party for girls and that only his sister Emma (R) could go! He really wanted to join! I told his mom to bring him to hang out with the girls for a little bit when she brings Emma. I loved his reaction, he was excited to be there but felt so foolish at the same time! haha! I sent him home with an armful of treats and he was perfectly satisfied!

We played Olaf’s “hide and hug” game! One person hides the stuffed Olaf and then everyone else looks for it, the person who finds it gets a warm hug from the cutest snowman!

Of course, we had to play the melting snowflake game again! They loved it so much last time and it is so easy and gets everyone giggling! It’s the same as musical chairs except you use “snowflakes” as your chairs. There are the same amount of snowflakes as people and then when the music stops everyone flips their snowflake over. If your snowflake has a fire (drawn) under it you have to melt and are out!

I put together party favor boxes filled with little treats. We had fun playing hot potato with the boxes while they anxiously awaited to see what was inside!

Do you wanna build a snowman? The next morning they built theirs out of marshmallows, pretzels and chocolate chips. Yum!

They loved their Elsa socks!!! Dollar Tree never ceases to amaze me with their fun party supplies!

We had so much fun! They are already asking me when the next one is. “When is Frozen 3 coming out?” they say! haha!
