A Keweenaw Mountain Lodge Wedding

Brian and Marissa tied the knot in the Keweenaw this weekend! It was such a fun relaxed day to start the wedding season. They met at Michigan Tech and choose to come back to the area where they fell in love to celebrate their day with their closest friends and family! In our conversations prior to the wedding they had such great attitudes about all the changes and restrictions due to the pandemic and choose to still celebrate and enjoy their day to the fullest despite it all. The rain came down pretty hard during the ceremony but they never even flinched and it honestly made for some really fun images!

Marissa’s childhood Pastor came from Lower Michigan to officiate the ceremony and I just loved his message to the couple and guests. He talked about how God intended us to be in community with each other and that their wedding was such a sweet example of that especially after so much time alone the past few months. What a great day to celebrate togetherness, love and family in such a beautiful place!

Brian and Marissa kept the guest list to their closest friends and family and I loved the intimate feel it had on the day. It was so easy to get to know their families and I loved serving them. Enjoy a photo recap of your day!

The ceremony took place right on Hole 1 overlooking Brockway Mountain. The view was stunning even with the overcast skies!

After the Reception we headed to some of their favorite places in the Keweenaw Peninsula including where they got engaged. Without the sun we were able to use just about anywhere for pictures and I was in my photographer glory! Goodness I hope I never take this stunning place I live for granted!
