A Weekend in Charlevoix, MI

This past weekend I traveled to the beautiful lakeside town of Charlevoix for a camping trip with some friends.  Our dear friend Shelby is getting married in 2 short weeks so it was fun to have this time together before she becomes a Mrs!!

We spent two nights at Fisherman's Island State Park swimming, roasting marshmallows, playing games around the campfire and visiting late into the night.

Lake Superior will forever have my heart, but I am falling in love with the other lakes that Michigan has to offer!  I will admit, being able to float in the water all day in Lake Michigan without getting hypothermia was really nice! 😉

We made it through the weekend with only one injury! Good thing four of our friends are nurses and there was a Walgreens close by, we were in good hands! 🙌

We brought tubes along and spent most of Saturday floating in the lake.  Nothing compares!

Beautiful Ava!!  So much summery, happy vibes! 💛

Sunday morning we packed up and headed into town to find coffee and breakfast.  We stumbled upon "That French Place"  a coffee shop that served about 30 different types of crepes!  I always gravitate toward sweets so I choose a apple, cinnamon crepe.  It was delicious!!  Some of the girls tried the buckwheat ones which came filled with your choice of breakfast fillings such as eggs, cheese, and spinich.  They were given a 10/10 as well!

We enjoyed our weekend of rustic camping but had to admit we were feeling in our element in the darling picturesque town complete with coffee, hours of shopping and ice cream!

Now you know where to go on your next weekend getaway!

Oh and if you decide to get married there, let me know...I'd photograph it in a heartbeat! 😉
