Sony Mavica. This was a beast of a camera, it was the kind that used floppy disks. It was my mom's camera but my big sister and I would use it to take pictures around the house. When she started taking photos of my mom's flowers and entering them into our local fair I followed right along. We burned through those floppy disks fast considering they only stored about 10 images. My interest sparked from there, and I moved on to using every type of camera I could get my hands on.

After countless photoshoots of my nieces with my simple point and shoot, I made the big upgrade! My high school’s yearbook class purchased a Canon Rebel when I was in 10th grade and I knew I just HAD to have one for myself. I saved up my babysitting money and bought my own in 2010 just in time to practice on my new niece and nephew. Every year when their birthdays come around I remember the “age” of Natalie Carolyn Photography and celebrate how far I have come!

I knew that I was going to make the leap into shooting weddings after I read the inspiring and raw magazine "Exposed" by Jasmine Star (a Rockstar Wedding Photographer) about her journey through the first two years of business. I spent the entire summer of 2012 researching and learning everything I could before my first wedding that autumn!
